The idea for this page came to me after the death of my Oxford supervisor, Jim Coulton , in August 2020. I realized that I had no picture of him. Most of our time together was in the 1990s before digital photography made the snapshot ubiquitous. It is easy to lose the visual memories of our professional lives, so I have placed here images of various people with whom I have worked, attended conferences, gone on field trips, and generally discussed my work and theirs over the years. They are in no particular order except for the first ones, who are special people I have known who are no longer with us. Most of the photos are taken by me or with my camera. In other cases, the source is noted when known. This is a work in progress…
A few dear friends who are no longer with us.
